My Third Blog
Pros and cons of electric cars.
In this blog I will talk about how electric cars are good and bad to own. Many people don't have electric cars for good reasons. Today I will go over those reasons and some good reasons to have an electric car.
Some pros of electric cars are, they are a lot quieter so when you walk on the
street you can not be bothered by all the really loud cars. The costs ongoing are a lot lower than to have ongoing prices for a gas fueled car. They are also more convenient, as Andrew Sendy from Solar Reviews stated, “A lot of people mistakenly think that electric cars are more inconvenient since you have to find charging stations, which aren’t as easy to find as gas stations. But the ability to charge electric cars at home is a great advantage.” Some things can also be bad about these cars too.
Some cons about electric cars are that the upfront cost is very large compared to gas cars but as we know the ongoing costs are not as much. But if you need a battery replacement for your electric car it will cost you $7000 dollars or more, which is a lot of money if you don't expect it. So that is also a con. The car also takes a long time to charge, so you will have to wait six to twelve hours!
These are just some of the pros and cons of electric cars. There are many good things about these electric cars but also some bad things about them. In conclusion electric cars can be very convenient or not. What do you think?

Personally i want an electric car because its better for the environment and your blog told me it was definitely going to be expensive so i may have to think twice before i buy one when i get enough money.
ReplyDeleteI really liked your blog. I had no idea that electric cars had so many cons on top of it many pros. I have one question about how long does it take to charge a Tesla.
ReplyDeleteThank you, It takes one to twelve hours depending on how much energy you have left.
DeleteI think that it is cool that you wrote about electric cars and I learned a lot. I have a question how long does the battery of a car last.
ReplyDeleteIf you leave your tesla unplugged it will drain around 1 -10% battery every day.
DeleteI actually didn't know that it took that long for the cars to charge. I thought it was only a couple hours at most. I also wonder what are some of examples of newer electric cars besides Tesla.
ReplyDeleteHonda, and BMW are also making electric cars.
